Our Garden @ 3 weeks
We’ve had 3 tomatoes come off, but they are only the size of a golf ball.
The squash, cucumbers and jalapeños are coming in pretty good.
I’m keeping the garden watered and waiting to see how the bell peppers do.
I’ve to admit it’s getting warmer and I’m kinda’ worried about the Texas heat beat’n he heck out’ta my plants.
If it gets too bad, I’ll be building a small green house type cover with holes in it to let the water through, but mostly to block the direct sun…

Ooh, I love your garden idea! I’ve been wanting to do the exact same thing. Did you make that box? That’s so damn cool.
Yeah. I made it. It’s 3 pieces of 1x10x6… One cut in half [3ft] with some 3″ galvanized screws… Predrill the holes. 3 screws per corner.
A weed barrier on the bottom and sides. Filled with ‘Miracle grow’ compost. Make sure to leave plenty of weed barrier for the sides. The compost will make it settle. After everything has settled [full of dirt] staple the sides to make it neat. Give everything enough to grow and then leave it sit.
I planted late, but it’s doing better. I water it once every other day.
