The HENRY ‘3 strike rule’ – Chili’s FAILED us – for the last time.

image Beck and I’ve a 3 strike rule. If we go to a restaurant and it’s bad, bad food or we get bad service; it’s a strike against them. If we go back to this place 2 more times and they continue to suck, after the 3 time, we don’t go back again.

We believe in giving a place a chance; everyone/place can have an off day.

So years ago, Beck and I used to go to Chili’s a lot for their chicken crispers. It was the huge strips/pieces of chicken and the honey mustard they had for the platter; it comes with fries and corn too- but anyways.

But I guess we had a bad run and Chili’s failed our 3 strikes rule and this was before Ethan was born, so at that point I was tired of throwing my money at this place when all they did was disappoint us- so we said never again.

Well, recently I’ve been passing this Chili’s on the way to work and was wondering if they had gotten any better.

Yesterday [around 2:30pm], we decided to go eat and I decided to go to Chili’s to give them a try [again]. Welp, they didn’t disappoint me, they’re the same crappy place with the same crappy service and the platter that I liked [past tensed] so well has gotten smaller [while the price has gone up].

We walked in [it wasn’t busy], the host starts off by giving us 4 adult menus, well it’s 3 and a child. Then she goes to seat us at a table with crap [straw wrappers, food, crayons, straws, etc] still under the table. We asked for a booth, there’s several open, but she asks us to go back and wait in the waiting area [erm ok].

I’ve this other picture of the new house; the back porch. It’s cool. It’s going to be so nice going back there to relax…

And Jami, if you decide to come down again, we have a favorite of yours. Take out Chinese food.

It’s just right across the road basically, but so is Wal-mart and Lowes. Personally I liked Chef Chu’s better.

FILE0272This other place is called Panda Express.

I don’t like it so much, but it’s okay. The girls seem to like it. I took this picture coming out the place the other day.

At the time, seemed like a neat thing to do, but Becca was like, ‘…what are you doing? Why?’

It’s kind’a hard to explain being geeky about stuff and why- so I don’t explain anymore.

This was just some innocent fun.. for me. ;)

Ethan watches the UFC with me and he knows what the ‘ground and pound’ is…

I’m in so much trouble- with Brittany.

Check this out…

It’s silly, but the best swords play I’ve seen in a while…

Hey y’all, take care!

The closer we get…

We [Beck and I] went over to the new house on Tuesday for another short walk through. The people we’re buying the house from is/wasn’t back yet and we were going to over to see about a few little issues, and geek me wanted to make sure the projector worked [it does].

Becky has already started talking about where this is going and where that’s going and what she wants to do where [again]. She’s already talking paint again…

She was asking me the other day about moving some things around, asking my thoughts on arrangement of furniture and buying and selling pieces. My response was I didn’t care… ‘I use the couch, the bed and my desk- everything else, don’t bother me about’.

Brittany is going back to school for her senior year. She’s going to yet another new school; this ones actually very nice in comparison. I’m hoping she likes this one and tries to excel. I asked her the other day about having to switch schools so much and she’s blunt about it, ‘it sucks’. I can’t say as I blame her; we have moved a lot.

As a new parent you don’t always make the right choices; you really stumble through the whole process. And others have told me, ‘…you’ve really no idea what your doing, you just take what you’ve and try to make the best decisions’. I think this is very true.

Ethan is doing well, he’s so independent; it’s hard to get over. And he’s trying so hard to figure stuff out and he’s testing the waters constantly [to see what he can get away with]. He’s been getting out’ta line and misbehaving and when I’ve to correct him, it’s hard because he thinks I’m being mean to him..

So, we only have a few days now and we’ll be in our new house [nothing bad yet]…

We’ll keep ya posted!

Until next time…

CasaDeHenry is moving… most likely.

IMG_1375 As you know, a few months ago we moved ‘cause we were in a bad house and the electric bills were like $600, the place was broken in to [and our stuff stolen], the truck was broken in to and the landlord was a serious cheap-skate.

So we moved to Frisco. We move in and we find out the guy might be interested in selling the house; it seemed like it might be a good deal [going for a short-sale], but there were a few things that needed to be addressed, but we could wait a bit to see if the sale would go through- it didn’t.

We were already approved to buy the house [any house], so we decided not to buy our current one, but another. It’s nice. It’s in Little Elm and we should be moving in Aug 28th.

We’ve been to see the property a few times; it looks nice. It’s 4bd, 2.5 bath…

It has a bigger backyard than the other houses. Ethan should have plenty of room to go out and play- it’s even got a playhouse/playground with the slide, latter, swings, etc. We back up to a ‘greenway’, so there’s actually nothing right up against us. From the pictures, you can see the houses are not close to ours [from the back].

This was a big selling point on the house; the porch. It’s huge, it’s covered and it’s going to be nice to go out back and just relax.

I really don’t like the name, but’ve been hearing it on the HGTV channel, but we have a ‘man room’ already built in. The house has two levels, but upstairs it has a projector and [like] a 12’ screen; for which I fully intend on standing in front of and playing virtual golf.

Should be awesome with games and movies.

We really didn’t want to move, but was a good deal and we were already preapproved and it’s within our budget. It’s close to water, Wal-mart [which is always important to Becky] and Lowes [which is going to be important to me because of Becky]. It should be a nice change.

I know my dad doesn’t even have a address book entry for me anymore… I [we] are just a lonely post-it note on his desk with my address and phone number.I’m like the family ‘Where’s Waldo’ [sorry dad].

I haven’t told anyone about this yet because I wanted to wait until things were really underway and looking like it was going to happen, but we are two weeks out and there’s been no issues to this point.

So, I’ll update’ya in 2 weeks.

Until next time,
