The unpacking continues… and please welcome Cooper
We’ve been in our new house for a little over a week. We are still in the process of rebuilding. You’d think by now we would have this process down to a science.
But while we’re old pros at this; we’re old pros at this… I think this time we are going to pace ourselves.
Beck already has ideas of grandeur, but as usual, I think she’s going to start out with a few coats of paint here and there. She just hasn’t kept quiet about all the things she wants to change… We think about things the same way, but not on the same schedule.
I’ve been telling Beck and the kids that once we had a house with a big enough yard we can get a dog. I just don’t think having a dog in a confined place is very nice to the dog. And while I’ll let the dog in my house, I don’t want a live in dog- there’s just too many issues there for me.
Having a new house and not wasting anytime, Beck found a place in Aubrey, TX that was giving away a lab/chow mix pups. And there’s a long story here, but we kinda wanted another lab/chow mix. They were so cute, and the one Beck picked out was the one that really didn’t even know she was there; it was sleeping the entire time- rarely ever moving.
We brought him home and called him ‘Cooper’. He’s only 5 weeks old. We took him to the vet this morning and he says everything is okay with him.
It was raining today and we got a quick shot of Ethan playing the rain. The rain has been coming down for 2 days and Ethan’s been cooped up, so we let him out to play in the rain. He goes out and plays and starts going up the slide the wrong way and then finally gets it…
It’s kinda silly, but one of the things we really liked about the house when we bought it was the media/theater room… here’s a quick video..
