October Brings the Cold to Texas
It’s October now and believe it or not Texas is cooling off. I’ve been riding my bike to work whenever I could and it seems like the Spring and Summer just jumped by.
My commute to work is 20 miles one way and when it’s 50+ degrees in the morning, it’s just a bit more chilly than that on a motorcycle with the wind.
So I think my bike days will be limited during the time it’s cold.
Ethan has been busy mastering his new WII [white game]- WII Resort. He loves beating daddy in all his games and when I win he’s wondering why I didn’t let him win.. and sometimes I just do.
He’s been busy destroying his body. Bumps, scratches, cuts and my favorite- hurting his hair.
He’s figured out the rules for going outside. So now there’s an argument on the requirements for going out said and why can’t he because he has his shoes, pants, shirt, it’s not cold, the sun is out and sissy is home- it’s a tough argument.
Britt still hasn’t gotten her drivers license. She’s hoping to find that one place where you can go to just take a written test and not have to actually drive. because if she has to actually drive… anyway.
Beck has been having some fun with painting the kitchen; it’s now a burgundy color and the living room is a tan color. She’s got plans to line the windows with some trim and beautify them. There’s so many things she’s thinking about and talking about and wanting to do and my brina just turns all that off. She talks- I hear nothing but Charlie Browns teacher.
Oh and it being October, it’s like Becks favorite time ever. It’s horror movies- horror movies galore. I hate Horror movies. Unless they’re funny; like Zombieland.
I found a wonderful little place at the mall this weekend; THE LEGO STORE. It has all the coolest stuff. I really didn’t want to be at the mall to begin with, but that’s where the movie was playing and that’s where Becky had to go for ‘Bath and Body’.
I loved LEGO as a kid. It was awesome.
Now they have stores devoted to just LEGO. You can make anything with LEGO now. They have parts I never dreamed of when I was a kid.
The things they build now are awesome and there’s so many pieces to choose from, but whoa, choose wisely- these things are expensive now. It’s like $18 for a large CUP [drinking cup] of LEGO’s of your choice.
I may go back there to re-live some old dreams.
Until next time,
LEHenryJr.
