Brittany’s Graduation 2011

scan 2Well, it’s finally that time…In the summer of 2011.

So many years ago [was it?], she started school and this year was her last year. Beck and I realize it hasn’t been easy with as much as we’ve moved around; school to school, having a relocate, making new friends and working with all the new teachers.

Brittany has finally reached the end of the rat race and she’s graduating from Little Elm, TX High School.

This week, all that ends!

And we are very proud of her getting to this point and we wish her the best as she decides to go forward in to the next steps of life. It’s all about the new cars, new jobs and new challenges.

And we want to thank everyone for all the good luck wishes…

Snow in Texas 2011

We had a great time playing in the snow!! It isn’t often that Texas gets this much, so it was fun to get out and play! Ethan had a snow ski suit, so he was so warm, we on the other hand got cold pretty quick! Little Elm got about 3 inches, and it was so pretty!

Larry’s 39th Birthday!!

Today was Larry’s 39th birthday! He took the day off and we went to lunch. Then we spent the afternoon at the pool. Ethan is jumping off the edge and swimming with his face in the water! He did really well for awhile, then wanted his jacket on so he could play….

Ethan goes ‘around and around’ at the Fall Festival

Little Elm has a Fall Festival. You know it’s little carnivals that come through that are ran by the social rejects you wouldn’t normally trust a potato gun with, but some how in the spirits of letting kids be kids and have a bit of fun.

We got Ethan, Beck and Britty riding the bucket spin thingy. They were going round and round. Beck got a bit sick, but the good news; she didn’t ‘burple’.

CasaDeHenry is moving… most likely.

IMG_1375 As you know, a few months ago we moved ‘cause we were in a bad house and the electric bills were like $600, the place was broken in to [and our stuff stolen], the truck was broken in to and the landlord was a serious cheap-skate.

So we moved to Frisco. We move in and we find out the guy might be interested in selling the house; it seemed like it might be a good deal [going for a short-sale], but there were a few things that needed to be addressed, but we could wait a bit to see if the sale would go through- it didn’t.

We were already approved to buy the house [any house], so we decided not to buy our current one, but another. It’s nice. It’s in Little Elm and we should be moving in Aug 28th.

We’ve been to see the property a few times; it looks nice. It’s 4bd, 2.5 bath…

It has a bigger backyard than the other houses. Ethan should have plenty of room to go out and play- it’s even got a playhouse/playground with the slide, latter, swings, etc. We back up to a ‘greenway’, so there’s actually nothing right up against us. From the pictures, you can see the houses are not close to ours [from the back].

This was a big selling point on the house; the porch. It’s huge, it’s covered and it’s going to be nice to go out back and just relax.

I really don’t like the name, but’ve been hearing it on the HGTV channel, but we have a ‘man room’ already built in. The house has two levels, but upstairs it has a projector and [like] a 12’ screen; for which I fully intend on standing in front of and playing virtual golf.

Should be awesome with games and movies.

We really didn’t want to move, but was a good deal and we were already preapproved and it’s within our budget. It’s close to water, Wal-mart [which is always important to Becky] and Lowes [which is going to be important to me because of Becky]. It should be a nice change.

I know my dad doesn’t even have a address book entry for me anymore… I [we] are just a lonely post-it note on his desk with my address and phone number.I’m like the family ‘Where’s Waldo’ [sorry dad].

I haven’t told anyone about this yet because I wanted to wait until things were really underway and looking like it was going to happen, but we are two weeks out and there’s been no issues to this point.

So, I’ll update’ya in 2 weeks.

Until next time,

Larry Jr.
